The forex market operates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week — from Sunday 9:00 PM UTC through Friday 10:00 PM UTC. Unlike stock markets, there is no central exchange. Instead, trading happens across four major financial centers that open and close at different times, creating a continuous global market.
Sydney (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM UTC) — The first session to open each week. Typically lower volatility, good for AUD and NZD pairs.
